zet replaces SpawN at SK.Sweden

German based organisation SK-Gaming announces the signing of Marcus 'zet' Sundström - Counter-Strike legend Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed steps down.

Sundström has been playing Counter-Strike: Source for LA compLexity in the CGS until his contract expired in June this year. He decided not to renew it but move back to Sweden and return to Counter-Strike 1.6.

The Swede replaces the legend Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed who decided to retire from professional Counter-Strike. Mohamed is about to take on a different role in SK-Gaming. The addition of Sundström reunites three players (Dennis 'walle' Wallenberg, Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström and Sundström) from the old NiP lineup which was extremely successful back in 2006.

SK.Sweden has now time until the end of September to prepare for the Swedish World Cyber Games (WCG) Qualifier taking place at Dreamhack Skellefteå. The winner of the Qualifier will be allowed to represent Sweden at the WCG Grand Finals in Cologne, Germany in November.

Managing Director Andreas 'bds' Thorstensson is "very happy to welcome the prodigy Zet." Sundström is "one of the best players who took a break from 1.6 at his peak to focus on Source in CGS" who is "now back more hungry than ever".

ESL EM III: Fnatic versus Lag-blank

Tonight Fnatic will go head-to-head against Lag-blank in the Lower Bracket Final of the Swedish Extreme Masters Season III Qualifier in order to qualify for the Main Round.

Last week Fnatic lost to SK Gaming two games to none in the Upper Bracket Final on de_tuscan and rather surprisingly de_train, despite it being Fnatic's strongest map.

Now the Swede's are in the Lower Bracket Final against Lag-blank, who triumphed over 0E1F23 (now EvilZone) in a tight affair which saw Blank taking the last map 16-14.

Fnatic need to win this map not just to reach the Grand Final of the entire qualifer but to earn a spot in the Main Round so there is no doubt in mind that both teams will pull out all the stocks.

However, should our boys lose, they still have a chance to play in the third season of the Extreme Masters through offline tournaments or direct invitation.
