Ola "elemeNt" Moum has decided to retire from gaming

The Norwegian veteran decided to return to gaming for the World Cyber Games, where his team placed fourth, losing to e-STRO in the Consolation Final.

He also featured for cbteam in the opening EPS Scandinavia fixture against fnatic; however, he would be left out of the squad that tackled GamePlay.

While Moum has retired from gaming, the plans of Preben "prb" Gammelsæter and Mats "noLA" Nygren are still unknown but the pair have reportedly become inactive.

Meanwhile, cbteam has added three players to the EPS team: Thomas Holm "quitY" Nilsen, Tommy "tacky" Mosgaard and Ulv Ares "xern" Bjornsson.

cbteam has now the following team for EPS Scandinavia:

ElemeNt returns to CS

Counter-Strike veteran Ola "elemeNt" Moum has returned to the professional competitive Counter-Strike 1.6 scene after announcing he will feature in the WCG08 Grand Final.

Moum was last seen playing for Meet Your Makers in October 2007 but was released from the team following weeks of speculation that the end of his career was drawing close.

In an announcement made by Moum, he stated that he would not return to CS1.6 again but he would like to keep involved in the scene, thus MYM offering him a place within the organisation.

However, Moum looks to have changed his mind and will return for one event only, the World Cyber Games 2008 Grand Final in Cologne, Germany between 5-9th November 2008.

"Opportunity knocked, lo3," said Moum.

"WCG is one event I never got to go to in the past, this was an awesome chance for doing what I love doing and for all the fans and people who have followed and enjoyed gaming, the way it should be played. Furthermore, its time to put Norway back on the map."

Moum joins his former Norwegian MYM team mates Preben "prb" Gammelsæter, Sondre "REAL" Svanevik and Mats "noLA" Nygren in the team that will be competing in August.

Lasse "stingeR" Midtstue and Martin "OmeN" Moskvil, the latter only playing in Extreme Masters qualifiers, also see their names in the team dubbed "Carried by OmeN."
